Advanced
Biomechanical Rehabilitation (ABR)

ABR is the first method capable of non surgical
predictable correction of our child’s musculoskeletal
structure.
The underlying principle of ABR is that structure
comes before function. Without the proper “frame”,
a child would not be able to crawl, creep or even
walk, no matter how much stretching, etc that
parents do for them. Therefore, without a fully
developed normal structure, normal function is
impossible. So, without normalization of structure,
the best expectation is some functional compensation.
To fully appreciate the theory of ABR, it is
important to understand the musculoskeletal structure
of a healthy child. From there, it would be evident
on the deficient structure of a BI child. Briefly,
here’s some of the common structural deficiencies
of a BI child:
· Short neck
· Bulging and unstable trachea
· Lack of jawline and chinline
· Collar bone is hardly visible
or totally invisible for some
· Lack of depth for the chest
level
· Lower ribs are spread
· Distorted respiratory patterns
· Lack of rotational mobility
Once you embark on the ABR journey, you will
be able to make predicted changes in child’s structure.
However, this is going to be slow process which
involves a considerable length of time. Therefore,
for parents who are willing to invest their time,
they must also have the patience, in order to
witness such unfolding changes in the child’s
body.
Cranial Sacral Therapy
(CST)
There are different types of CST; one is pioneered
by the Dr Upledger (founder of Upledger Institute)
and the other type comes under osteopathy.

There are reported progress from parents under
each type of cranial work. However, from a personal
point of view, cranial osteopathy looks at the
body as a whole instead of just at the cranial
system.
